Design is central to the success of Sun Tekstil and it is with this in mind that we wanted to share their knowledge and experience to help students with a design background to be fully exposed to the entire process in a working environment. It is from this design strength that Sun Tekstil decided to launch the “Sun Design Project” to offer students the opportunity to improve their design and professional abilities.
Presentations of the project were made at partner universities in Turkey and the UK. After which the students were invited to apply online with their work based on the specific theme.
Sun Design Project continued throughout July starting with a presentation on current trends. Students were then asked to create their own collections from concept to sample. During this time, participants followed a technical program showing them step by step detail of how the design process works from concept to production. This approach allowed students to experience the fashion business from every aspect. At the end of the project, students were able to showcase their entire collection.
