Founded in 1987, Sun Tekstil has come a long way from a small clothing workshop to a large corporate company, becoming a leader in Turkey for manufacturing and exporting textiles and garments. Dedicated to our clients’ needs and satisfaction, Sun Tekstil is a large family with 1500+ employees and ranks among the largest 500 companies in Turkey by revenue.

With expertise and experience in manufacturing ready-to-wear fashion, Sun Tekstil develops innovative textile products and offers all-inclusive design services at global standards to provide exclusive seasonal and capsule collections for global fashion brands.

Ekoten Fabrics

Since 2000, Sun Tekstil’s subsidiary “Ekoten Fabrics”has been manufacturing circular knit fabrics with a customer-oriented and environmentally responsible approach, focusing on superior quality, punctual services, and technological development.

Pioneering innovation in textile production, Ekoten is one of the leading circular knit fabric manufacturers in the industry. In 2022, Ekoten ranked 178th on the Istanbul Chamber of Commerce’s “Second Top 500 Industrial Enterprises” list. The company took 59th place on the “Top 100 Industrial Enterprises” list by the Aegean Region Chamber of Industry. Driven by innovation and sustainability, Ekoten Fabrics integrates the latest methods and advanced technology into its production processes and all business operations and continues to produce high-quality materials for global brands in clothing, technical textiles, medical wear, and sportswear.

Sun Textile UK Limited uses the competitive advantage of its strategic location in close proximity to global customers. With offices in London and Leicester, Sun Textile UK is capable of delivering flexible and punctual client services to international brands. Furthermore, the company’s strength in design and product development is enhanced by the design teams located there, creating the perfect environment for excellent communication and cooperation between our clients and us.

  • 1987 – Sun Tekstil was founded in İzmir
  • 1989 – First export
  • 1991 –  Knitting  Department was established
  • 1994 – Dyeing Department was established
  • 2000 – Sun Tekstil becomes the majority shareholder of Ekoten Fabrics
  • 2010 – Research and Development Centre was established in İzmir
  • 2012 – Sun Textile UK Ltd was founded
  • 2012 – London and Leicester design offices were opened in the UK
  • 2012 – La Coruna design office was established in Spain
  • 2018 – Investment in new knitting factory for Ekoten Fabrics
  • 2022 – Sun Tekstil IPO
  • 2023 – Barcelona design office was opened in the Spain
